SV	Jeftha nu, de Gileadiet, was een strijdbaar held, maar hij was een hoerekind; doch Gilead had Jeftha gegenereerd.
WLC	וְיִפְתָּ֣ח הַגִּלְעָדִ֗י הָיָה֙ גִּבֹּ֣ור חַ֔יִל וְה֖וּא בֶּן־אִשָּׁ֣ה זֹונָ֑ה וַיֹּ֥ולֶד גִּלְעָ֖ד אֶת־יִפְתָּֽח׃
Trans.	wəyifətāḥ hagilə‘āḏî hāyâ gibwōr ḥayil wəhû’ ben-’iššâ zwōnâ wayywōleḏ gilə‘āḏ ’eṯ-yifətāḥ:

AC	א ויפתח הגלעדי היה גבור חיל והוא בן אשה זונה ויולד גלעד את יפתח
ASV	Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor, and he was the son of a harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah.
BE	Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a great man of war; he was the son of a loose woman, and Gilead was his father.
